Due to the ongoing military conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, certain border provinces and districts are currently classified as high-risk zones. Expats, tourists, and Cambodian nationals living or traveling in Thailand are strongly advised to avoid these areas until further notice.
1. Si Sa Ket Province (อุบลราชธานี)
Location of recent rocket attacks and Thai airstrikes.
Civilian casualties reported in Kantharalak and Phu Sing districts.
Includes access points to Preah Vihear Temple (Khao Phra Viharn).
2. Surin Province
Clashes reported near Ta Muen Thom Temple and adjacent army zones.
High troop movement along the border in Phanom Dong Rak District.
Cross-border trade and local transportation are suspended.
3. Ubon Ratchathani Province
Indirectly affected by troop deployments and civilian evacuation plans.
Temporary shelters set up for residents from neighboring Si Sa Ket.
1. Oddar Meanchey Province
Site of retaliatory airstrikes from Thai F-16s.
Cambodian military bases located here were targeted in recent operations.
Entire province under military surveillance and potential combat zones.
2. Preah Vihear Province
Proximity to the disputed Preah Vihear Temple makes this area extremely sensitive.
Civilians and foreign nationals have been advised to relocate by local authorities.
We recommend marking a red-highlighted zone covering:
Thai side: Si Sa Ket, Surin, southern Ubon Ratchathani (border districts only)
Cambodian side: Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear
You may also provide live map links using Google Maps or embed safety alert layers from ReliefWeb or UN OCHA.
Postpone all non-essential travel to these regions.
Stay updated via embassy travel advisories.
If living in these areas, prepare for potential evacuation.
Report any signs of military activity or infrastructure damage to local authorities.
